Anambra State House of Assembly has expressed satisfaction with the quality of road construction work at the Y junction axis of Unizik-Okpuno road, and urged the contractor handling the project to speed up work and complete it in record time.

 

The Chairman, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure, Chief Emmanuel Nwafor, gave the commendation during an oversight visit with committee members.

Speaking shortly after inspecting the road project being executed by the state government, Chief Nwafor noted that upon completion, the road would alleviate flood-related issues in the area, especially with the ongoing underground drainage construction.

 

He praised Governor Soludo for addressing the needs of the community through the project, expressing confidence that upon completion, the residents would experience significant relief.

In his remark, the contractor handling the project, Engineer Elje Bou Jaoude, assured timely completion and adherence to high standards.

 

In the same vein, the committee also inspected a ten-kilometer road construction work at Nawgu by the state government, with a width of seven-point-three meters.

The committee noted that work was at the scarification stage, with the company recently mobilized for the job, urging them to maintain standards and quality.

 

Speaking to journalists, the contractor handling the project, Engineer Adeyinka Amosun, assured of quality delivery.

Other members of the committee present during the inspection were the member representing Anambra West Constituency, Honourable Patrick Udoba, his Ihiala Constituency Two counterpart, Honourable Golden Iloh, member representing Ayamelum Constituency, Honourable Bernard Udemezue, Honourable Noble Igwe of Ogbaru Constituency One, among others.
