Wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, says the uniqueness of motherhood is a timeless duty that should be treasured and accepted with great pride.

 

Mrs. Soludo, who stated this in a message in Awka to commemorate this year’s Mother’s Day, noted that motherhood is a vocation of pride and that attaining the milestone is commendable.

 

The governor’s wife pointed out that every mother represents an image of massive responsibility, adding that the success and failure of any home and by extension, the society, lies on mothers.

 

The Anambra governor’s wife also explained that mothers are confronted with so many demands but maintained that the demands of home and child upbringing should be a priority.

 

While reiterating the call for mothers to re-evaluate their work vision in view of the prevailing problems faced by the society, the governor’s wife said that it has become imperative for mothers to re-assume their roles as the heart and conscience of the world.

 

Mrs. Soludo further explained that a large chunk of the responsibilities to take back the society from the hands of growing menace point to the weakness of modern motherhood methods, including parental neglects and attitudes.

 

She asked children to always celebrate their mothers and speak words that appreciate their uniqueness, resilience, and struggles, reminding women that they are the engine room of the state’s collective strength and ambition.
