The popular saying that “Teacher’s reward is in heaven” has been proved wrong by Mrs. Blessing David who has excelled in academics by rising from home teacher to become a school Proprietor.
speaking to journalists after she paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu in his office accompanied by some pupils of her school, Mrs. David explained that she delved into home teaching out of her passion for teaching job, coupled with poor standard of schools around her vicinity.
She said her dedication to the teaching profession and quality of knowledge she impacted on her pupils helped them to improve academically, which motivated other parents to register their wards with her school.
Mrs David explained that when the home teaching exercise grew beyond her imagination, she established her own private school with the help of some parents, adding that the school is doing pretty well presently.
Apart from being a school Proprietor, Mrs David said she had authored eight books, including Miracle Seed, Abuse of Right, among others.
She charged young people to venture into the teaching profession with passion for them to reap their reward here on earth and also in heaven after their sojourn on earth.
The school Proprietor also urged teachers to always think outside the box by writing books about what is happening around them, as it will add to building a better future generation of leaders and uplift them.
