The traditional Ruler of Umueri in Anambra East local government area Igwe Ben Emeka says the two years in office of Governor Chukwuma Soludo is impactful.
Speaking to the ABS on the two years in office of Governor Soludo, Igwe Emeka whose company, New Idea construction Limited is among Indigenous firms engaged by the Soludo administration in the construction of roads, described the ongoing road projects of the government as one capable of opening up the hinterlands and boosting businesses.
He thanked the Governor for encouraging indigenous firms by engaging them in project execution saying that it is a clear indication that the Governor is doing things differently unlike other governors who always patronize only foreign firms.
Igwe Emeka assured the governor that the Indigenous firms he engaged for project execution will not disappoint as according to him they will perform creditably by executing quality jobs.
He Used the opportunity to call on Ndi Anambra to take full ownership of the state by being alive to their responsibilities especially in the areas of tax payment and approved levies to enable the government continue to serve them better.
On the Hospitality Industry, Igwe Emeka who is also a hotel proprietor in Awka, called for the production of a Hospitality directory in Anambra State to promote the business before the international community to boost the economy.
He called on the government to invest more money in security for effective businesses in addition to seeking ways of ending the epileptic power supply which he said is a major threat to the growth of Hospitality business in Anambra State.
Igwe Ben Emeka called on the people to always take pride in patronizing Indigenous products to boost both the Gross Domestic product GDP of the country and internally Generated Revenue of the State.
He described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a game changer who has brought disruptive innovation in governance especially in the area of ease of doing business calling for its sustenance.
