Anambra State Governor’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has explained that her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, is a man who is inspired by service and seeing his people happy.
Mrs Soludo stated this while addressing over six thousand women from the women wing of All Soludo Support Groups ASSG, in Awka.
ASSG is an umbrella body of different political and socio-cultural groups supporting the present administration in Anambra State.
In her speech, the governor’s wife praised the groups for the sacrifice they made to see that Professor Soludo got elected as a governor, and assured them that her husband is committed to repaying that trust with excellent performance.
She urged the women to remain supportive of the government and reassured that Governor Soludo is not slowing down on the current development pace.
Mrs Soludo explained that the formation of the groups arose from the people’s complete trust in Governor Chukwuma Soludo and what he had to offer Anambra State, adding that the governor is determined to give Ndi Anambra nothing short of excellence.
The governor’s wife further noted that each of the support groups has a big role to play in the task ahead, adding that Governor Soludo has come to lead a new paradigm for a new Anambra development story.
In his opening remarks, the National Chairman, All Soludo Support Groups ASSG, Mr Chinedu Nwoye, said that the groups played frontline roles in Professor Chukwuma Soludo’s emergence as a governor because they believed in the credibility of his visions, and urged the women to propagate the current message of good governance down to the grassroots.
In her speech, the ASSG National Woman Leader, Mrs Amaka Obi, assured that the women are strongly mobilized in their support for Governor Soludo’s administration, rating the Governor’s performance as excellent and a reason why the women have continued to support him.
The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, her Power and Water Resources counterpart, Engineer Julius Chukwuemeka, the South East APGA Woman Leader, Mrs Ngozi Obidike, the Anambra State APGA Woman Leader, Mrs Esther Onyekesi, wife of the National Chairman of APGA, Mrs Amara Ezeokenwa, were at the event.
