Asphalting has commenced on the five-point one-kilometer Oyeagu Abagana-Nimo road.

The road construction which commenced last year has been primed from Oyeagu Abagana axis to parts of Nimo.

ABS Works correspondent Ngozi Obileri monitored the pace of work on the road and reports that laying of asphalt was seen ongoing at the Abagana axis of the road towards Abagana Girls Secondary school, while materials were brought in their numbers to aid quick and timely completion of the road.

Speaking to the ABS, the General Manager of TRI construction company handling the project, Engineer Mohammed Motrazi said that they have primed up to two kilometers of the road from Abagana axis and some parts of the road from Nimo axis.

Engineer Motrazi explained that it will take them two days to complete asphalting on the two kilometers already primed and then commence priming and laying of asphalt on the Nimo axis where stone base has been laid.

He thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for giving them the opportunity to serve the state, and congratulated him on his second year in office anniversary which he described as unprecedented.
