The Executive Chairman, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, Associate Professor Vera Nwadinobi, has applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his ingenuity in the administration of Anambra state within two years in office.

 

Associate Professor Nwadinobi, who spoke to the press in Awka to mark Governor Soludo’s two years in office, said that the education agenda of the Governor have upgraded Anambra State education system to an enviable height.

She enumerated some of Governor Soludo’s achievements, which include, recruitment of five thousand teachers and the approval to recruit more three thousand teachers, free education for basic school pupils and students in public schools across the state, payment of over three-billion-naira counterpart funds for 2019, 2020 and 2021 UBE Projects, procurement of multimillion naira instructional materials and ICT equipments, renovation of schools, construction of new school classrooms, procurement new plastic chairs, tables, and other learning materials to accommodate the surge in pupils and students population occasioned by the free education policy, as well as promotion and payment of teachers salaries as at when due.

The ASUBEB Chairman commended Governor Soludo for empowering five thousand youths with skills and interest free startup capital through his one youth, two skills programme, employment of four hundred health workers, as well as rehabilitation of hospitals, provision of road infrastructure across the state, improved security, sanitation and urban regeneration, all geared towards making Anambra green, livable, prosperous and smart megacity.

Associate Professor Nwadinobi prayed God to give the Governor more wisdom, understanding and knowledge to do more for Ndi Anambra in the coming years.
