The remains of the late Prince Dozie Adirika have been laid to rest at his compound in Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area.
The late Prince Adirika, who passed on at the age of seventy-two, was the younger brother of a onetime Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Prince Amobi Adirika.
During Church service for the funeral ceremony of the deceased, the Archdeacon of Oba Archdeaconry, Venerable Dave Udoezika, described death as inevitable for all mortals, and charged Christians to always be prepared for it, as it will surely come one day.
He described the late Prince Dozie Adirika as a man who loved his family and provided his children with proper training, and encouraged his children to follow their father’s legacy of a purposeful and impactful life.
In their separate tributes, three sons of the deceased, Engineer Nonso, Architect Chukwukaodinaka and Engineer Ogonna Adirika, described their late father as their mentor, and promised to uphold his sterling qualities, while the daughter, Mrs. Obianuju Chukwukelu, maintained that their father’s humility was second to none.
In another tribute, elder brother to the deceased, Prince Amobi Adirika, stated that his late brother exhibited good Christian character throughout his life time, and was an astute disciplinarian.
A former Managing Director of the ABS, Lady Chinwe Nnedum, who commiserated with the Adirika family over the loss, urged them to take solace in the fact that the late Prince Dozie Adirika died as a good Christian.
The late Prince Dozie Adirika served as a Sole Administrator in Ogbaru Local Government Area, and retired as a Director in the Anambra State Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Condolences by friends, in-laws and sympathizers as well as choir rendition by All Saints Anglican Church Ojoto formed the highlights of the funeral ceremony.
