The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo has addressed most of the road requests from Ndi Anambra.

 

The Speaker made this statement as he concluded his road inspection tour of all the senatorial zones, finishing with Anambra North.

accompanied by lawmakers and officials from the Ministry of Works, Right Honourable Udeze inspected various roads including Awkuzu-Umunya road with a spur to Enugu-Onitsha expressway, Anam-Nzam road, Osamala bridge, Marine-Akpaka-GRA, Federal Housing to 3-3 express, and Atani-Ozubulu roads.

 

The inspection tour aimed to ensure that allocated funds approved by the state House of Assembly for projects are effectively utilized.

Right Honourable Udeze said he was amazed by the extensive road projects undertaken by Governor Soludo, describing them as tremendously impressive.

 

He emphasized that the governor’s efforts are deeply impacting the people of Anambra, with assurances of further economic stability before the end of his tenure, urging him to continue the good work.

In their remarks, the member representing Ogbaru Constituency One, Honourable Noble Igwe and his Anambra East counterpart, Barrister Obi Nweke, commended the progress of work in the state, noting that it has been accomplished without borrowing funds and described the achievements as remarkable.

 

On their parts, Honourable Fred Ezenwa representing Onitsha South One and Honourable Jude Umennajiego of Onitsha South Two Constituency highlighted the positive impact of the roads on community connectivity and economic activities.

The member representing Onitsha North One constituency, Honourable Justice Azuka, praised the Governor’s efforts and urged him to extend similar development to his constituency.

 

Also, in the Speaker’s entourage were, the members representing Aguata constituencies one and two, Honourable Anayo Okpaleke and Honourable Tony Muobike, respectively, Barrister Patrick Okafor representing Onitsha North Two and his Idemili South counterpart, Barrister Ebuka Igwe.

 

The Speaker also visited Anambra West Local Government Area headquarters, Nzam and expressed satisfaction with improved development.
