The late Mrs. Francisca Nwijeamaka Nnebe has been committed to mother earth at her family compound at Umuayom village, Amaenyi Awka.
Her children and mourners paid glowing tributes during her burial ceremony, describing her as a religious, accommodating and caring mother .
The eternal journey of the departed began at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Nkwelle Awka, as mourners attended the requiem mass presided over by Reverend Father Donatus Esiegbue and Reverend Father Peter Chikelu.
Reverend Father Chikelu in his homily, explained that Christians must believe in Christ and his teachings without being selective on what to accept and reject, as he said that being firm in Christ is important for every true Christian.
He explained that his encounter with the late Mrs. Nnebe showed she was a woman of truth, honest in her dealings and willing to work for God.
A son of the deceased, Mr. Adolphus Nnebe emphasized that the mother was a good woman, who raised her children in love and unity, making sure that Godly teaching and impact was the hallmark of their lives, saying that her demise is still painful.
One of the daughters, Mrs. Eunice Ifediogor, expressed pain over the death of her mother and remarked that she was a welcoming and astounding personality, who accommodated a lot of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, students, and also had a sterling career as an accountant at Aroma Farms.
Another son, Mr. Chika Nnebe recalled that her mother supported him in setting up his rental business and always gave him invaluable advice in her lifetime, urging all to coexist peacefully while Mr. Basil Nnebe said the late mother was simply a loving, caring, religious and forgiving woman, thanking God that she instilled the virtues in her children.
Other mourners who came to condole with the family, Mr. Obi Onyekuba and Chief Sunday Okechukwu pointed out that the woman was a good woman, whom God blessed with responsible children and prayed for the repose of her soul and blessings for the family.
The late Mrs. Francisca, known amongst her women folk as ‘Singer Nwanyi’ for her love and performances in dancing and singing, died at the age of seventy-four and survived by her children and other relatives.
