The member representing Njikoka Constituency Two and Deputy Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Jude Akpua, and stakeholders from the constituency, have embarked on an inspection tour of Oyeagu Abagana-Nimo Road.
During the inspection tour, the lawmaker and the stakeholders praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the high-quality road construction in the area and across the state.
Dr. Akpua, joined by his Njikoka Constituency One counterpart, Honourable Chidiebele Ibemeka, community leaders of Abagana and Nimo, as well as APGA faithful, said the inspection provided opportunity to evaluate the ongoing road construction efforts.
He commended Governor Soludo for his dedication to enhancing the state’s infrastructure, citing the Oyeagu Abagana-Nimo Road project as evidence of the Soludo administration’s commitment to improving connectivity and fostering socioeconomic development in the state.
Dr. Akpua, who emphasized the significance of the project in promoting economic growth and improving the lives of Njikoka residents, expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work, and underscored the road’s priority for the people of the area.
In their remarks, the member representing Njikoka Constituency One, Honourable Ibemeka, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Retired Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi, commended Governor Soludo’s compassion and fulfillment of promises to the people of Anambra, expressing confidence that the Oyeagu Abagana-Nimo Road project would soon be ready for commissioning.
On his part, the Transition Committee Chairman of Njikoka Council Area, Barrister Clem Aguiyi, Traditional rulers of Abagana and Nimo, Igwe Mbamalu Okeke and Igwe Maxi Oliobi respectively praised Governor Soludo for breaking the trend of unfulfilled promises regarding the road, urging the Contractor handling the project to expedite work.
Contributing, the Anambra Central Zonal Chairman of APGA, Mr. Ndukaku Okoye, and Njikoka Council Chairman of the Party, Pharmacist Chinedu Anaekwe, encouraged the people of the area to support the Governor’s administration in appreciation of his efforts.
Also, the President General of Nimo Development Union, Engineer Dan Anakpee, and Vice President General of Abagana Welfare Union, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, called for the re-election of Governor Soludo, highlighting the potential of the road to enhance transportation, stimulate commercial activities, and bolster prosperity of people of the area.
The Contractor handling the project, Engineer Mohammed Natraji, who assured that the five-point-one-kilometer road would be completed next month, expressed gratitude to the Governor for entrusting them with the task.
