As Christians all over the world commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ yesterday , the Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Comrade ThankGod Anago, has called on Christians to always imbibe the virtue of love and forgiveness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
Comrade Anago who made this call during his Easter message to Ndi Awka North and Anambra in general, said that the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion on the cross has brought hope and salvation to mankind.
He noted that the celebration of Easter calls for sober reflection, examination of one’s life as Christians and urged people of God to always forgive one another and show love to everyone in need, irrespective of where they come from or religious inclinations.
Comrade Anago advised the people of Awka North and Ndi Anambra in general to celebrate Easter with decorum and decency and avoid acts that are capable of truncating the essence of the greatest celebration in the Christian calendar.
According to Comrade Anago, Ndi Anambra should use the Easter celebration to pray for Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his family, and for the success of his administration which he noted has transformed Anambra state within his two years in office.
He also promised to compliment all the policies and programmes of the Soludo-led administration in Awka North and called on the people of the area to always see themselves as one and also be their brothers’ keepers at all times.
