The wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has explained that a essence of Easter celebration would remain unfulfilled if humanity does not learn from Christ’s virtues of love, forgiveness and tolerance.

Mrs Soludo who stated this in a message released in Awka to commemorate this year’s Easter feast, noted that the celebration should remind everyone that Jesus Christ did not just die for the sins of mankind but out of deep and unconditional love for God’s creation.

She stressed the need for people to emulate Christ, who showed forgiveness to his persecutors and returned every spite with love.

Stressing that love remains a potent ingredient for a prosperous society, Mrs Soludo said that Easter, given its religious significance, calls for healing amidst growing global and national conflicts and socio-religious challenges .

The Governor’s wife, who described Easter as a time to reassess one’s relationship with God and humanity, noted that even though the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have redeemed mankind, humanity should justify the ultimate sacrifice by living a life that pleases God.

Mrs Soludo while wishing Ndi Anambra a hitch-free Easter celebration, appealed to them to continue to pray for a peaceful and progressive state, reassuring that her the present administration is working tirelessly to fulfill its pact with Anambra people.
