The death and ultimately, the resurrection of Jesus Christ teaches us the greatest examples of unconditional love, act of sharing and sacrifice.
This is according to the Anambra State Commissioner for Special Duties, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche, in her Easter message as she urges Christians to exemplify these virtues in their daily lives.
Providing a deep insight into the finished work of salvation being celebrated on Easter, Commissioner Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche explained that in Jesus, Christians are brought to eternal victory against sin and hell, freedom from the oppression of Satan, and adoption into the sonship of God as brethren with Christ, thereby giving them powers to live-out the godly lifestyle without strive.
She enjoined Christians to exemplify the examples of Jesus Christ to grant them these unmerited favour and new status with its manifest cost, while avoiding negligence of God’s love and kindness.
Commissioner Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche insisted that if many Christians, especially in Nigeria, Anambra State and wherever they find themselves, whether as leaders or followers, will begin to practically live according to these precepts, many challenges facing the Nigerian society will become a thing of the past.
She, therefore, urged them to show love to one another, be tolerant of other peoples’ faith and differences, and especially to the service of the country and the state.
While wishing Ndị Anambra a happy Easter celebration, Commissioner Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche urged them to remember that Christ made the ultimate sacrifice when He let himself to die, go into the lowest pit of hell to wrestle Satan and have victory over death, they should, therefore, be willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of the society and people around them.
