As part of efforts aimed at creating a conducive business environment in all the community Markets across Anaocha local government area, the Transition Committee Chairman of the local government area Chief Gerald Ozoh has inaugurated an ultra-modern Lock up shops he built for traders in Afor Akwaeze Market.
The Lock up shops which was built in line with the livable and prosperous Homeland initiative of Governor Chukwuma Soludo was inaugurated for use by the Commissioner for Health Dr Afam Obidike who is an indigene of Akwaeze.
Performing the function, Dr Obidike commended the Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area Chief Ozoh for his foresight and initiative which he said will go a long way in boosting businesses in the area and called on the traders to ensure that the Market is always clean for a healthy living.
He said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is committed to giving Ndi Anambra quality governance through the provision of infrastructure, and called on the people to continue with their support to his administration.
In a remark the traditional ruler of Akwaeze Igwe Christopher Okpala who described the construction of the Lock up shops by the transition committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area Chief Ozoh as a major milestone in the development of the area and described Chief Ozoh as a leader with heart of gold.
Igwe Okpala who is the chairman of Anaocha local government area traditional rulers’ council as well as the immediate past chairman of Anambra central council of traditional rulers, described the present Government in Anambra State as one that has restored people’s confidence in governance and reassured it of the continued support and prayers of the people of Akwaeze community.
For the President-General of Akwaeze community Chief Osita Udemba the transition committee Chairman of Anaocha local government area Chief Gerald Ozoh has through the construction of the lock up shops empowered so many people and promised that the community will safeguard the facility.
Earlier the Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha local government area Chief Gerald Ozoh said that what prompted him to construct the Lock up shops inside the Afor Akwaeze Market is to create sanity in the market in addition to creating opportunities for the people.
According to Chief Ozoh,the Soludo administration is committed to human capital development, adding that series of developmental strides by the Governor are clear indications that Professor Chukwuma Soludo is passionate about the welfare of Ndi Anambra.
He said that Anaocha local government area under his watch will continue to domesticate the agenda of the Soludo administration in all the ten communities of the area and charged the people to take full ownership of government facilities in their various Communities.
In a vote of thanks, the supervisor for work’s in Anaocha local government area Chief James’ Ifewulu, commended the people of Akwaeze for their support for the execution of the project which was completed using their people as contractors.
The event featured songs of solidarity for Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the transition committee Chairman of Anaocha local government area Chief Gerald Ozoh.
The Youth leader of the All-progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Anambra State Mr Tochukwu Obiadi was among those that attended the event.
