All the communities in Idemili South Council Area have benefitted from the benevolence of an illustrious daughter of Alor community, Dr Nkiruka Agbazue, through her medical outreach organized by Hello International Foundation.

 

Residents of the seven communities in Idemili South Local Government Area with different health issues trooped out en masse to receive the medical attention, free of cost, which was held at Idemili South Local Government Headquarters, Ojoto.

In his speech, the member representing Idemili South constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe commended the communities in Idemili South for turning out massively to participate in the medical exercise, attributing it to the good security network being provided by the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and described Dr Agbazue’s kind gesture as a welcome development as it will impact lives positively.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Mrs Amaka Obi lauded the benefactor for investing in people’s lives by ensuring that they are healthy and called on other affluent Ndi Anambra both at home and in the diaspora to imbibe the spirit of “Akuluo uno” to achieve a livable and prosperous homeland.

 

The Co-ordinator of the medical outreach, Mrs Maureen Okafor said that the medical outreach was very crucial for enhancing the health of the people and called on the beneficiaries to heed the medical instructions given to them.

 

The leader of the medical team who is a consultant ophthalmologist and Chief Medical Director of Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital, Nkpor, Reverend Sister Mary Ubajaka expressed satisfaction with the massive turn out of people, saying that she was impressed by their desire to acquire sound health and emphasized the importance of regular eye checks and treatments, adding that they observed a high number of people suffering from glaucoma, cataract, and other eye diseases in the area.

A member of the organizing committee, Dr Chika Ezudo explained that the outreach was an opportunity for the poor to access quality health care and praised Dr Agbazue for the initiative.

 

Some of the beneficiaries, Mr Emmanuel Omeba, Mrs Eunice Okeke and Miss Chidera Obichukwu extolled their benefactor, Dr Agbazue for remembering them and prayed to God to bless her immensely.

 

Over seven hundred persons benefited from the free medical largesse in Idemili South council Area.
