The newly appointed Provost of Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Dr Justina Anyadiegwu, says under her watch, that college will be known as an institution that is viable and visible, and which produces highly qualified teachers that are able to compete with their counterparts across the globe.

 

Speaking while interacting with ABS Education Correspondent, Queen Anigbogu at the college recently, Dr Anyadiegwu said that she has plans to ensure that the institution is also known as a college with good morals.

 

On how she intends to give the college environment a facelift, Dr Anyadiegwu declared that her administration is open for collaboration with government agencies, alumni associations, international and local entrepreneurs to ensure that they have a very conducive teaching and learning environment.

 

The Provost disclosed that Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe is a place where innovation thrives and excellence is expected, noting that the institution has a lot of facilities and programmes for extracurricular activities.

 

She added that the college has skill acquisition programmes to ensure that students key into the Anambra State Governor’s “One Youth, Two Skill” programme, which will enable them imbibe the entrepreneurial spirit and skills they need to thrive in this era.

 

Dr Anyadiegwu appreciated members of internal management, Deans, Directors, Heads of units, the entire staff and management of the college, as well as parents for their efforts towards the realization of set goals of the college.

 

The Provost again thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for appointing her to contribute her quota in his Solution mandate, especially in the education sector, and assured him that the trust he reposed in her to pilot the affairs of the college, through the grace of God, persistent determination and collaborative work with all stakeholders, will not be in vain.
