The President of Aguata Diocesan Council of Knights, Sir Obiora Okeke, has described Knighthood as an order of the church that needs full commitment from members in the ongoing efforts towards defending the faithful and in expanding God’s kingdom on Earth.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen in his office at Ekwulobia, Sir Obiora, who regretted that many people are seeing Knighthood as a mere title, charged members of Knighthood order of the church to live above board by speaking the truth, defending the oppressed and living up to expectations as true soldiers of Christ.

He harped on the need for members of Knights in Aguata Diocese to work towards making the first session of the Seventh synod of the diocese successful, and called on the federal government to seek ways of improving the living standards of the people through more positive policies and programmes.

Sir Obiora, while decrying the decay in the value system of the society, called for proper reorientation of the people, especially the youths on how to salvage the negative image of the Nigerian nation before the international community.

He commended the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, for all his programmes in the diocese geared towards bringing the people closer to their creator, and reassured him that Aguata Diocesan Council of Knights will continue to play its part in improving the moral tone of the people the more.
