The Archdeacon, Mgbakwu Archdeaconry and Vicar of Saint Stephen’s Church, Mgbakwu, Venerable Jason Onyeakagbusi has charged couples to take the responsibilities of training their wards to become useful members of the society.

Venerable Onyeakagbusi stated this during a sermon to mark the Awka Diocesan Children Sunday and Holy Trinity Sunday.

He noted that children are precious gifts from God and must be moulded in a way that their lives will continue to glorify God’s name to achieve their life potentials through Christ Jesus.

Venerable Onyeakagbusi noted that it is the responsibility of parents to cater for their children, adding that the church should also do their part in building a serene society.

At Saint Matthew’s Parish, Amawbia, a resident priest, Reverend Father Professor Anthony Atansi noted that it is important for Christians to choose the part of love and participate in the life of the Blessed Trinity which is the essence of their existence in life.

Religion Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that a series of prayers were offered for children in channeling their minds to positive things as well as the fear of God so as to be fruitful in life.
