The maiden edition of the stakeholders’ summit of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Anaocha Local Government Area has come to an end at Agulu with a call on the people of Anaocha to come together to form united ideology and promote unity to fulfill the vision for Solution Agenda 2025.
The summit attracted top government officials, traditional rulers in the local government area led by their Chairman, Igwe Christopher Okpala of Akwaeze, and other well-meaning individuals who converged to champion solutions that will see to the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Chief Joachin Anaetoh said that APGA government has continued to bring governance to grassroots touching lives and developing all sectors of the state economy.
Chief Anaetoh stated that Governor Soludo has within two years, transformed the state into a business hub and center of attraction.
Chief Anetoh commended the people of Anaocha for coming together to champion Solution cause and emphasized that Governor Soludo has the interest of the people at heart and is about to award the Nne-Ogidi-Agulu-Nwagu -Neni-Adazi road, pleading their continued support to APGA and the governor.
Igwe Okpala of Akwaeze called for unity, oneness, togetherness and love among the people stating that gossips, backbiting, bickering and disunity cannot lead them anywhere.
The Chairman of the summit, Chief Innocent Chikezie expressed optimism that the summit will reconcile all aggrieved parties in the area and unite towards achieving peace and togetherness in Anaocha Local Government Area.
Dwelling on the theme of the summit former Attorney General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Uju Nwogu maintained that the summit is apt as it provided opportunity to brainstorm on salient issues that will bring even development in the area.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Chairman, APGA Anaocha Local Government Area, Chief Anthony Ugorji said as he commemorates one year in office, he extends gratitude to Governor Soludo for his unwavering support and transformative initiatives, including infrastructural development, healthcare, education and social welfare programmes and announced the empowerment of nineteen individuals from the nineteen wards in Anaocha to establish small business and honor past ward chairmen for their invaluable contributions to the party’s success at the grassroots.
In his remarks, the Secretary, planning committee of the summit, Comrade Rome Ibekwe noted that the success of the summit showed that Governor Soludo is working.
Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that many people decamped from other political parties and joined APGA while presentations of award to those that distinguished themselves in the service of APGA and Anaocha Local Government Area were the highlights of the event.
