Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been commended for running an inclusive administration and open-door policy.
Speaking in Awka, the Vice President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene said the Governor has continued to carry Ndi Anambra along in his policies and programmes.
He noted that for the first time in the history of the state, communities and stakeholders are actively involved in selection of chairmen and members of the Local Government Transition Committee which he noted will ensure fairness and equity.
According to the Ohaneze Ndigbo Vice President-General, the Governor’s democratic approach will also strengthen synergy between the communities and local government system.
Chief Okeke-Ogene also pointed out that the people will also be able to hold those who will eventually emerge accountable and ensure that the Governor’s democracy dividends get down to all parts of the state in line with the Governor’s vision of entrenching good governance that impact directly on the life of the people.
Also speaking, a community leader, Mr Emmanuel Okafor called on the incoming local government administration to bring fresh ideas that will help in the transformation of grassroot governance.
