Anambra State Government has commenced distribution of over three hundred and twenty-six multimedia public address systems to all the wards in the state for increased enlightenment in communities.

 

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, who made the presentation in Awka, expressed optimism that with the availability of the multimedia public address system, government policies and programmes, especially in rural communities, will be widely publicized.

According to the Health Commissioner, passage of information, especially about health, is key and insisted that the procurement of the equipment is an added advantage in efforts to educate and sensitize the people about health related issues and insurances that will be beneficial to them and their households.

Dr. Obidike revealed that the multimedia public address system has twelve inches portable quality speaker, FM, remote control, two wireless microphone, USB slots, Bluetooth, memory card slots and recording facility, among others.

He assured that with the hand over of the equipment to the Executive Director, Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem, it is now set for onward distribution.
