The people of Ideani, in Idemili North Local Government Area have expressed gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the construction of culvert along Obiaja River and reconstruction of Okaegbe Ideani axis of Nnobi Ideani-Umuoji-Nkpor road.

 

They made the commendation through the Traditional Ruler of the community, Igwe Stephen Ezeh who led some members of his cabinet on inspection work on the road.

 

Inspecting quality and pace of work on the road, igwe Ezeh thanked God for Governor Soludo whom he said is developing all sectors of the state simultaneously, especially road network and thanked the governor for coming to their aid in putting the road in order.

 

According to Igwe Ezeh, the road was so bad before the intervention that criminals attacked people on that portion, but revealed that since the intervention, such activities no longer take place in the area, commending the governor for remembering Ideani people at this time.

 

He appealed to the governor to also award a road that passes Ideani Nnokwa-Alor and other communities to decongest Ekeagu Abetete that always record traffic congestion during festivities.

 

On his part, the Secretary of Ideani palace, Chief Theophilus Ikenya who also appreciated Governor Soludo for the intervention, also appealed for the construction of Ideani-Nnokwa-Alor Road to aid movement of vehicles in and out of the area.

 

Among other cabinet members that accompanied the Ideani monarch to the visit were chiefs Chidi Okeke and Dennis Uzoewuzie.
