Anambra governor’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has explained that there are a lot of positive opportunities for youths on the internet for Self-development and actualization of huge career breakthroughs.
Mrs Soludo who was speaking during an empowerment programme that was organized by the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, youth leadership in Dunukofia Local Government Area at the council’s headquarters, Ukpo, noted that contrary to wide assumptions, the internet also boasts great opportunities for young people who desire for positive impacts.
She said that instead of exploring the internet and social media for things that do not add to their growth, youths can find so many positive opportunities that can equip them with powerful skills and innovative ideas to grow in their careers.
The Governor’s wife who is the special guest of honour at the event, urged the youths who were mostly school children to pursue their dreams with the right intentions and stay away from distractions which could ruin their visions.
She advised them against drug use, cultism, and low self-esteem and encouraged them to pursue their dreams with clear focus, zeal, and determination.
Mrs Soludo also spoke about the Healthy Living Garden Competition, a school tournament which is organized by her non-governmental organization, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, and used the opportunity to encourage the students to embrace gardening as a lucrative and beneficial hobby.
Earlier, the convener of the event, who is also the youth leader of Dunukofia Local Government Area, Mr. Ifeanyi Ibebugwu said that the aim was to teach the youths the principles of healthy living, equip them with the right knowledge of governance, and give the students educational materials to aid their academic engagements.
He applauded the governor’s wife for using the healthy living initiative to shake up the mindsets of the people of the state about their health, especially with what they eat, and assured that the youths of the Local Government Area will continue to support the present administration in its vision to rebuild Anambra State.
On his part, the Anambra State Youth Leader of APGA, Dr. Tochukwu Obiadi said that the event replicated the human capital development passion of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration, pointing to the long-term of such initiatives.
He stated that APGA, in its ideology of lasting impact, is the only political movement in Nigeria that operates from people-first perspective of governance and hailed the youths of Dunukofia for thinking towards human capital.
