A Catholic Priest, the Reverend Father Pascal Udoh has called on Christians to live a life of sacrifice at all times.

In a homily at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, the Reverend Father Udoh noted that Christ himself sacrificed His life to save mankind from sin.

According to the Reverend Father Udoh whose homily centered on the “solemnity of corpus Christi”, the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life.

He observed that fellowship of Christ goes with challenges and difficulties, but urged the faithful to strive to endure so as to benefit from God’s goodness.

The Catholic Priest, however, charged Christians to always allow the holy spirit to dwell in them especially in their difficult moments.

In the same vein, the Vicar, Christ Holy Church International, Amanuke, Reverend Pastor Patrick Chigbata has challenged Christians to always sue for reconciliation and humbly draw closer to God with a heart of thanksgiving.

Reverend Chigbata who stated this in a sermon, said God is ever faithful with a compassionate heart to forgive his children and show them mercy so as to grow in faith.

He noted that they were created for a purpose which is to love God and one another, speak with one voice and evangelize to win souls who are yearning for God’s help telling them that there is hope of a new beginning.

Reverend Chigbata who is the District Priest, Christ Holy Church, Amanuke District, reminded all the church to study the word of God each day and apply it in all they do so as to be successful and as well, toe the path of righteousness.

The Vicar, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Amanuke, Reverend Christian Obijiofor, encouraged parents to instruct their wards on the words of God and the importance of knowing Jesus Christ from birth.

Reverend Obijiofor noted that since Jesus Christ started early his mission of evangelism, everyone should prepare the minds of their children to emulate Christ, instill in them, wisdom, knowledge and directives of God so as to grow with it and frowned at the state of things in nowadays society, noting that some of the youths have gone astray which he attributed to bad parenting.

He further challenged parents to jointly monitor, mentor and mould their children by living in peace within their neighbours so that their children will know the importance of peaceful coexistence.
