The Pentecostal Bishops Association, Anambra State chapter, PBAAS, has lauded the giant strides of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in road construction, education reforms and improved primary healthcare delivery.

This was contained in a communique they issued after their annual meeting in Awka.

The communique signed by their Executive President, Archbishop Augustine Nwodika said that insecurity has reduced drastically in Anambra state thereby bringing peaceful and strategic governance to the doorsteps of residents.

The bishops pointed out that they had maintained cordial relationship with past administrations in the state but would like to have a much closer relationship with this present administration.

The bishops thanked God for the success of their annual meeting which held with the theme, “Wind of Change”, and enjoined the body of Christ, especially Pentecostals to eschew bitterness, rancor and division and work towards the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

PBAAS encouraged the populace to be law abiding and contribute to the progress of the society even as they pledged their continued prayers and spiritual support to the Soludo-led administration and Anambra State at large.

They frowned at the level of immorality and social vices embraced by the youth and called on the government to take more decisive action to put an end to them.

The bishops asked fathers to be present in the lives of their children so as to provide the necessary role model they need to become productive members of the society.

Lending his voice, the State Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Moses Ezedebego bemoaned the security situation in the South East and said that the Federal Government has not taken sincere steps to assimilate Ndịgbo as equal parts of the Nation.

Bishop Ezedebego, however, asked Igbo youths to desist from using violence to seek for their rights as they will end up destroying their lands and urged South East Governors to come up with similar security strategies as that of Governor Soludo to make the zone a destination for foreign and local investments.
