The Anglican Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese Right Reverend Prosper Amah says there are abundant benefits in keeping the commandments of God.

In a sermon at Immanuel Anglican parish Umunankwo, during a service of confirmation and admission into Mothers Union and Girls Guild, Bishop Amah regretted that many Christians are working for God without knowing Jesus Christ and called on such people to have a rethink.

Right Reverend Amah who during the service charged the faithful to always put into practice what is contained in the Holy scripture, urged Christians to always pray for and love their enemies.

He cautioned the faithful against harboring grievances, pointing out that as children of God, they should only engage in those acts capable of winning more souls for Christ.

Right Reverend Amah, who described the Holy spirit as the regulator of Christian lives, charged the faithful to always allow the Holy Spirit direct their daily lives in order to inherit the kingdom of God.

He urged those that received the sacrament of confirmation and those admitted into Mothers Union and Girls Guild to aspire to be role models in addition to being a beacon of hope and light wherever they find themselves.

Bishop Amah reminded Christians of the need to have absolute faith in the word of God pointing out that faith serves as a bridge to God’s promises which include Healing, upliftment, prosperity, divine advancement among others.

The Vicar of the church Venerable Nathaniel Egwuenu, who thanked Bishop Amah for the visit, tasked Christians on using their individual destinies in working out their salvation.

Bishop Amah was accompanied by the president of Ogbaru Diocesan Women’s Ministry Dr Uche Amah, some Diocesan officials, selected clergy men, among others.

The service which was jointly facilitated by Reverends Calistus Ikejiofor and Samuel Ndupu featured Holy Eucharist, series of prayers for those in leadership positions and Thanksgiving.
