Anambra State Government has restated commitment to supporting any programme designed to promote quality education in the State.
The State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, stated this when principal officers of the National Open University of Nigeria, Awka Study Center, paid her a courtesy visit in her office at Jerome Udorji State Secretariat Complex Awka.
Commissioner Chuma-Udeh said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has demonstrated favourable disposition to education by employing qualified teachers to end the era of schools without teachers.
She expressed the hope that with the availability of teachers, the stage is now set for worthy partnership between the Ministry of Education and National Open University of Nigeria for the human capital development needed for the transformation of Anambra State into a livable and prosperous homeland.
