The member representing Ihiala Constituency One at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Jude Ngobili has rendered account of his stewardship for the past one year in office to his constituents and said that his constituency has improved following his developmental strides in many sectors.
Barrister Ngobili who doubles as the Chief Whip of the eight Assembly, disclosed this while presenting his scorecard at a maiden town hall meeting he organized for his constituents.
The event held at Ihiala Local Government Headquarters, attracted large turnout of community members, leaders, stakeholders and party faithful from the constituency.
Addressing his constituents, Barrister Ngobili disclosed that he has attracted road projects, sponsored many motions and supported life changing bills, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare, employment, empowerment and security.
The lawmaker noted that the initiatives were driven by the needs and aspirations of Ihiala Constituency One, aiming to improve the quality of life for all residents, while assuring that he will continue to represent them better in order to bring greater developments to the constituency.
He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his developmental strides in Ihiala and assured that he will continue to work with his government to address security challenges in the area, while thanking stakeholders in Ihiala Constituency One for their huge support even as he announced a free skill acquisition programme for youths in the constituency to curb unemployment and restiveness through the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
In his remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala Council Area, Engineer Anayo Orjiakor, praised Barrister Ngobili for his dedication and effective representation, noting that he has shown exemplary leadership and a genuine commitment to the development of Ihiala.
Contributing, a stakeholder from the constituency, Chief Ifeanyi Ojiakor and the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chairman of Ihiala Council Area, Mr. Chijioke Okoye also commended Barrister Ngobili, saying that he has not only fulfilled his campaign promises, but has also gone ahead to ensure that Ihiala Constituency One progresses on all fronts.
During the event, the constituents also drew the attention of the lawmaker and Governor Soludo to their challenges including insecurity and erosion, urging them to come to their aid.
The event climaxed with awards presentations by Ihiala Local Government Council, Stakeholders from the constituency and APGA faithful to Barrister Ngobili.
