Since the inception of the Governor Soludo administration in March,

2022, the government has made huge financial investments in the

educational sector of the Anambra State economy. His administration

kicked-off by recruiting Five Thousand teachers into the Anambra State

Public Secondary school SYSTEM. and additional three thousand teachers to solve the problem of inadequate number of teachers in schools especially those located in the remote and riverine areas of the State.

 

The Soludo administration has also introduced free education

policy in Primary and Junior

Secondary Schools in Anambra State.

 

 

 

In line with the policy of equipping the students with Information and

Communication Technology skills the administration has provided new Computers to all Head Teachers in Anambra State and provided ICT equipment to the students’ aimed at providing students

with basic ICT knowledge and skills needed for living in the present

ICT age as ICT knowledge and management now drive the global

economy and development. This would enable the students to be ICT literate

for global competitiveness.

individuals, communities, businesses, and governments around the

Education needs huge capital outlay and the greatest

potential any Nation or State has is her educated manpower. Without

competent human resources, such a State or Nation would lag behind and

remain under-developed. Education is an instrument for effecting

national or state development. When one considers the huge amount of

money spent for buildings, maintenance, staff salaries, supplies,

instructional materials, equipment and research, among others, one

would agree that education is often the biggest single enterprise undertaken by the government. Education is an expensive social service

and requires adequate financial provision from the Government for a

successful implementation of the educational programme.

 

 

 

No price paid for the

education of the Anambra State citizens would be regretted because

education is indispensable for the building and

sustenance of a modern society and a necessary ingredient

for national unity, stability and development.
