It was a moment of grief and sober reflection as the remains of the late Mrs Helen Anarado were laid to rest in her husband’s compound at Amata village, Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha local government area.

 

The late Mrs Anarado who died at the age of fifty was blessed with four children and many relations.

The final journey of the late Mrs Anarado commenced with a burial mass at Saint Andrew’s catholic church, Adazi-Nnukwu where the parish choir sang requiem songs for the peaceful repose of her soul.

 

The Vice Chancellor, Peter University, Professor Emmanuel Umezinwa who delivered a homily during the mass, reminded Christians that their journey on earth is for a while and their final destination is where they will spend eternity after their lifetime on earth.

The Reverend Father described the late Mrs Anarado as a good Christian who was very committed to her beliefs that even her long period of sickness did not deter her from them.

 

He charged Christians and her family to emulate her by living in peace with their neighbours and offering selfless services in the communities where they live and apply same in their families and places of work.

In an interview, the husband of the deceased, Mr Okechukwu Anarado said that the death of his wife is a huge loss and very painful to his family as she sacrificed so much for them.

 

He however, thanked God for the good life she lived and all who consoled them in their time of grief.

On his part, the elder brother of the deceased Major General Obiora Enendu said that she was a good ambassador to their family and advised her children to continue to uphold the ideals for which their mother lived, while a friend of the husband, Mr Silvester Okafor also enjoined him to put his trust in God who can do all things.

 

In his tribute, the first son of the deceased, Mr Ferdinand Anarado eulogized her sterling qualities and prayed God to grant her eternal rest in His kingdom.

 

The burial ceremony was well attended by government officials, including the Commissioner for Information in Anambra State, Sir Paul Nwosu, the Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Sir Chido Obidiegwu and climaxed with interment and performances by her relations.
