The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area, Barrister Casmir Nwafor has assured the people of the area especially workers of his preparedness to domesticate Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s good governance in Orumba North through effective administration as well as well-being of the people.
Speaking at the Orumba North Council Headquarters, Ajalli during a meeting with the management staff, Barrister Nwafor said that he has come to change the face of Orumba North and Ajalli in particular for the better, urging the staff to show more commitment to their duties and shun acts capable of retarding the pace of development in the area.
Barrister Nwafor who revealed that he will relocate from his home town Oko to live in the council headquarters, Ajalli for work efficiency and for effective supervision, commended Governor Soludo for the numerous developmental projects he has completed in Orumba North in addition to the ongoing ones and called on the people of the area to continue with their support to the Governor.
While addressing traders and butchers at the Eke Oko and the abattoir respectively during an unscheduled visit to the market, Barrister Nwafor emphasized the need for them to improve the level of hygiene and general sanitation in and around the market in line with Governor Soludo’s efforts towards effective environmental sanitation, warning that they will risk closure of the entire Eke Oko market within the next one week if the sanitary condition of the market fails to improve.
He frowned at the indiscriminate packing of vehicles and motorcycles at the first gate of the Federal Polytechnic Oko and Total Filling Station along the Ekwulobia-Oko-Umunze road, appealing to the management and staff of various transport companies and leadership of motorcycle operators during his meeting with them to help government in its efforts to build a livable and prosperous home land.
Highlight of Barrister Nwafor’s first day in office as the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area was his courtesy call on the traditional ruler of Ajalli, Eze Augustine Nwangwu who thanked the Chairman for the visit and promised to give him and Governor Soludo the needed support.
