In his bid to ensure adequate health care service delivery, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Sir Stanley Nkwoka has announced plans to partner the Anambra State Ministry of Health in the areas of posting of health officers, nurses and Doctors to all the maternities and healthcare centres in Idemili North.
Sir Stanley stated that the provision of manpower in various healthcare centres would give Ndi Idemili North easy access to quality healthcare services.
According to the Idemili North mayor, he is not stopping at just providing adequate healthcare, but will devote more time and attention on education and other vital areas, in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s programmes on education, as the education of younger generations would be paramount under his leadership.
He further noted that he will work with the Anambra State ministry of education to ensure the posting of experienced teachers to all the primary and secondary schools in Idemili North and also engage their people who are disposed mostly in semi-urban and rural areas to provide free accommodation for teachers that would be posted to schools in their towns for assistance, as they experienced in the eighties and early nineties.
Sir Stanley disclosed that the free accommodation gesture will go a long way to motivating the teachers that would be posted to their Local Government.
