A business Executive Chief Boniface Egbutu has called on the federal government to create more business friendly environments that will stimulate the growth of indigenous firms.

 

Speaking in an interview with the business correspondent of Anambra Broadcasting service ABS Abuchi Nwozor in Awka, Chief Egbutu regretted that many indigenous firms that suppose to be a key player in developing the nation’s economy are closing shops and called on the federal government to seek ways of addressing the ugly trend.

 

According to Chief Egbutu who is also a chieftain of the All progressives Grand Alliance APGA as well as a community leader in Nise Awka South local government area, friendly business policies of the government will apart from encouraging industrial growth and attracting expatriates improve the Gross Domestic product of the country and create more jobs for the teeming youths.

 

Chief Egbutu who stressed the need for Nigerians to engage in production of products for export to earn foreign exchange instead of over dependence on consumption of Goods.

 

He urged different levels of government to create enabling environment for the speedy transformation of the country and canvassed for the reduction of cost of governance to make political offices less attractive.

 

Chief Egbutu commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his development exploits in Anambra State especially in Road infrastructure which he said will go a long way in opening up the hinterlands in addition to boosting businesses.

 

The chieftain of the All progressives Grand Alliance APGA Chief Boniface Egbutu used the opportunity to congratulate Governor Soludo on his emergence as the Vice chairman of the southern Governor’s forum which he described as well deserved.
