Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba has described the “one youth two skills” initiative of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration as an innovative solution to youth restiveness and provision of quality jobs, with the target of raising one thousand youth millionaires annually.

 

He stated this at the commencement of a four day training for master trainers in the second batch of the “one youth two skills” initiative in Awka.

Mr. Agha Mba revealed that the training is to ensure quality assurance in line with the manifesto of Governor Soludo’s administration, noting that approvals have been given by the Governor for the training.

 

The Commissioner commended the master trainers for passing through the rigorous selection processes in merit, and stressed that the next phase of the programme is value re-orientation, appreciating the Governor for being intentional about advancing youth development.

He assured that the Ministry is poised to driving the process as captured in the people’s manifesto.

 

The Training Facilitator, Mr. Chinemerem Oguegbe announced that the Master trainers that passed the assessment will be selected, reminding the trainers that their prerogative is to represent the state government in their businesses.

Recall that in 2023, the state government through the Ministry commenced selection of master trainers, where over eight thousand centers applied.

The four-day training which is scheduled in two batches according to different vocations is being facilitated by the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Anambra State Chapter.
