The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, Chief Ifeanyi Chinweze has called on Anambra youths to key into Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s youth friendly policies and programmes to become self reliant.

 

Chief Chinweze who stated this while speaking to the ABS in his office at Otuocha, the headquarters of the council area, noted that Governor Soludo has initiated progressive and impactful policies and programmes that can make Anambra youths to become self reliant and economically buoyant.

 

He listed “one youth two skills” entrepreneurship programme of the Anambra State Government which has now entered its second phase, after the successful maiden edition of the programme where five thousand youths were trained in various skills and empowered with reasonable seed money, as one of the legacy projects of the Soludo administration.

 

The Anambra East TC Chairman also advised youths to stay away from all forms of social vices as well as the consumption of hard drugs and engage in meaningful ventures that will add value to their lives for their own good and for the betterment of the society.

 

Chief Chinweze extolled Governor Soludo for his numerous developmental strides in the state, especially his aggressive road constructions that cut across all the local government areas in the state, massive employments of teachers and health care workers, education upliftment, security of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra, workers welfare among others.

 

According to the TC Chairman, he will ensure that all the policies and programmes of the State Government are domesticated in Anambra East for his people to maximally benefit from the current administration’s good initiatives.

 

Chief Chinweze equally called on the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to synergize with the Anambra State Emergency Management Agency ,SEMA, to ensure that every mechanism is put in place for this year’s would be flood victims not to suffer any hardship.

 

He called on the traditional rulers, religious leaders, Presidents General and other stakeholders in Anambra East to always educate their people on what to do when the flood arrives, assuring that the local government will continue to play its role as the third tier of government for a better future.
