Micnet Concept International has announced postponement of the South-East World-Class Digital Summit, SE-WCDS from 1st August, 2024 to September 19th as a result of the ongoing nationwide protest.

 

Announcing the change of date in Awka, the Chief Executive Officer of Micnet Concept International, organizers of the summit, Engineer Mike Nebo, revealed that the postponement is geared towards ensuring that the summit is expected to convoke individuals, groups, students, governments, and representatives of every sector of the economy with a view to educate, train, and empower them with digital tools that will improve their efficiency.

 

According to Engineer Nebo, the postponement is to ensure that the summit yields the desired result, while they await the new date, and that they have also consulted various state governments in the region and their responses have been quite encouraging and commended the Governors for their efforts at leveraging technology to make a change in the society.

 

The tech expert, expressed satisfaction that Tech companies in the region are now uniting to provide solutions to the ailing economy of the country and the region, stressed that if the region and its governments can fully take advantage of the enablement of the ICT, the region will become a hub for technology in no distant time.

 

On her part, the media consultant to Michnet Concepts, Mrs. Ify Aronu-Okafor said the summit aims to transform the Southeast region with digital technologies in diverse ways.

 

On the postponement, Mrs Aronu-Okafor said the organizers decided to empathize with Nigerians over the hardship, adding that the shift also affords them the opportunity to plan the Summit better for the economic emancipation of the youths in the Southeast.
