The second phase of One Youth Two skills Initiative, which was flagged off by Governor Chukwuma Soludo recently has been described as a laudable initiative that will not only create youth millionaires, but also generate quality jobs, contributing to the overall economic growth and stability of the State

 

The second phase of the Governor’s initiative is expected to train and empower over eight thousand youths across six hundred and twenty training centers, chosen across the three hundred and twenty-six political wards in the state.

 

In his reaction to the development, the Deputy Majority Leader, Anambra State House of Assembly, and member representing Njikoka Constituency Two Dr. Jude Akpua, commended Governor Soludo for his visionary leadership in prioritizing youth empowerment, emphasizing that the initiative is a strategic move towards addressing unemployment and reducing poverty among young people in the state.

 

Dr. Akpua said that the initiative is timely, given the current economic challenges facing the country and expressed optimism that the programme would equip the beneficiaries with the necessary skills to become self-reliant, thereby fostering entrepreneurship and contributing to the economic growth of the state.

 

The Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala Local Government Area, Engineer Anayo Orjiakor, and his Njikoka counterpart, Barrister Chinedu Ononiba, praised Governor Soludo for his continued dedication to youth development through the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative, noting that the program is a bold step towards reducing youth unemployment as it will provide youths with the tools, they needed to become productive members of the society.
