As the International community marks this year’s Youth Day, the Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right HonourableSomtochukwu Udeze has described youths as veritable instrument for generational growth and societal reformation.

 

In his Goodwill Message to Anambra youths as they join their counterparts in celebrating the day, Right Honourable Udeze noted that the role of the youth in nation building cannot be over emphasized.

 

The Speaker who charged youths to abstain from vices such as lust, idolatry, greed and violence among others, maintained that with hard work, education, occupational and vocational engagements as well as skills acquisition, they will be useful to themselves and to the society.

 

He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his pragmatic initiatives and efforts in repositioning the future of the youths of the State by empowering thirteen thousand, five hundred youths in his phases one and two “one youth, two skills programme in addition to other youth empowerment opportunities.

 

The State number one lawmaker while advising youths to always differentiate between virtues and vices, called on well-meaning citizens to contribute to the betterment of youths in their various communities and commended the State lawmakers for their massive youth employment programmes in their constituencies.
