As Nigerians joined the rest of the global community to commemorate 2024 International Youth Day yesterday, the Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Comrade ThankGod Anago has appealed to youths to channel their energies into productive ventures for the betterment of society.
In his message to the youths on this year’s celebration, Comrade Anago explained that no nation can prosper without the inputs and innovative ideas from its youth population.
He pointed out that as a government in Awka North, they are very intentional and committed in delivering programmes and actions that will see that their youth population in the ten communities of the council area are at their optimal performance at all times.
Comrade Anago added that what they are doing is in line with the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s led administration in Anambra State, which is manifested in the ongoing phases of “One youth Two skills” entrepreneurship programmes among others that have seen Anambra youths trained and empowered in different skills and vocations.
He opined that Awka North under his leadership has no choice than to remain youth-friendly administration so as to continue to promote and tap from the youthful resources in their council area.
