The member representing Oyi Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Innocent Ojike, has said that APGA victory in the area in the schedule local government election is a sure bet because of the development strides of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the area.

 

House of Assembly Correspondent, Emmanuel Chigbata reports that he stated this at Oyi Local Government APGA office in Nteje after stakeholders meeting to determine choice candidate for Chairmanship position in the election, based on zoning formula in the area.

Though the stakeholders meeting was inconclusive and will be reconvened on a later date, the lawmaker urged his constituents to give support to the Governor in the scheduled local government election to enable him actualize his vision for Ndi Anambra.

 

On his part, an APGA stakeholder in Oyi and one-time President General of Umunya Development Union, Honorable Obi Ezeani, said the local government has remained unique in winning elections for APGA, saying that same will be done again in the coming local government election.

Honourable Ezeani said the lawmaker has contributed in endearing APGA to the people through quality representation.

 

Contributing, the Traditional Prime Minister of Nteje community, Ichie Benneth Chinweze, said the stakeholders meeting will help the party get someone that will localize development strides of the Governor, adding that the party and Governor Soludo have done well in the area.

Oyi Local Goverment APGA Woman Leader, Mrs Juliana Ibefuna, who commended the peaceful nature of the meeting, urged the people to keep supporting APGA for more democracy dividends.

 

The meeting rose with the decision that no name should be submitted till another stakeholders meeting is reconvened to determine the choice candidate for the Oyi Local Goverment Chairmanship position.
