Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has felicitated ndị Anambra on the occasion of the existence of the state for thirty-three years.

 

Governor Soludo was speaking at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, during a statewide broadcast to observe the event yesterday.

 

Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that Governor Soludo, who said that the state was created out of an aspiration that reflects the mission and vision of his administration, noted that Anambra is truly on the rise, being the sixth largest economy in the country with the lowest poverty indicators.

 

According to the Governor who said that seventy five percent of the state is largely urbanized, maintained that in the social sector and education today, Anambra ranks one of the best with its free education programme, having the lowest out of school children.

 

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development in the health sector and infrastructural development in the state and used the opportunity to celebrate Anambra’s hero’s past in creating the land of prosperity, as well as the prospects of the future, assuring that though there are challenges, his government will continue to work hard to take Anambra into higher pedestal.
