The Ajuluchukwu family in Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state, whose mother was allegedly murdered by her step son, has returned to appreciate the state government for her timely intervention in their case.

 

 

 

This they did a few days after their late mother’s burial ceremony in Ojoto.

 

 

 

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr Onyebuchi Ajuluchukwu, accompanied by some relatives, thanked Professor Chukwuma Soludo for coming to their rescue when they reported their case.

 

 

 

Mr Ajuluchukwu said that the governor of Anambra State through the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare did not only come to their aide, but gave them security and made sure they have equal rights with other members of their community.

 

 

 

They pledged their allegiance to the Governor Soludo administration and assured of their vote in the coming election.

 

Receiving them, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Ify Obinabo represented by her Special Assistant, Mrs Blessing Austin-Nweke noted that the present administration is determined to en sure that the vulnerable in the society are treated with respect and equal rights and assured of state government’s continued support where needed.

 

 

 

Recall that the Ajuluchukwu family had earlier ran to the ministry after their mother was allegedly murdered by her stepson, who allegedly also refused that the deceased will not be buried in her husband’s house.
