An Entrepreneur Lady Ifeoma Umechukwu has called on youths to learn how to convert various waste products in their areas into wealth.

Speaking on ABS Radio and Television Programme “Tonimas Half Hour” in Awka, Lady Umechukwu, who specializes in converting waste products into wealth, charged youths to engage themselves in this process instead of roaming the streets in search of non-existent white-collar jobs.

Lady Umechukwu, advised the youths to put interested in learning the process of how various waste products, especially animal faeces, cow horn, cow hoof, and bone, can be converted into useful ventures that can generate wealth too.

According to Lady Umechukwu, engaging in the process of converting waste to wealth, including condemned plastics and others, can make people employers of labor and wealth creators.

She urged youths to embrace this instead of blaming the government for not providing jobs for the teeming populace.

During the program, Lady Umechukwu commended the management of Tonimas Nigeria Limited for creating an avenue through the radio and television for enlightening the public.

She used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to learn how to patronize made-in-Nigeria products to stimulate the growth of indigenous firms and boost the Gross Domestic Product of the Nigerian nation.

She commended various individuals and corporate bodies who have helped the government in reducing the unemployment rate in the country through the establishment of industries and called on others to emulate them.

Lady Umechukwu, who hails from Anambra State, tasked the government at different levels to seek ways of assisting youths to become self-reliant through skills acquisition and commended the Anambra State Government for its “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative.

She advised the people to continue to be environment-friendly in order to save the environment from degradation, warning them against dumping refuse in unauthorized places

Some callers on the program, including Emeka Okonkwo from Abia State, Uche Okoye from Asaba, and Okeke Charles from Nnewi, thanked Lady Umechukwu for the enlightenment and thanked Tonimas for providing the platform.
