Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been commended for his sustained efforts towards launching the State on the course of sustainable development.
Speaking to the ABS in an interview, the President General of Nnobi Town Union Barrister Dominic -Savio Okpala said the present administration has brought a new dawn and revitalized all sectors of the State economy.
Paul Ezeoke reports that Barrister Okpala noted that the Governor has remained focused and provided conducive and enabling environment for socioeconomic activities to thrive and extolled the quality of roads and other infrastructural projects embarked upon by the Governor in various parts of the state recalling the prompt intervention of the Governor in reconstructing the collapsed portion of the Nnobi -Umuoji road.
He noted that through the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs honourable Tony – Collins Nwabunwanne, the present administration has entrenched peace, stability and harmonious coexistence in communities.

According to Barrister Okpala, the coconut and oil palm revolution initiated by the Governor would soon provide many families with sustainable sources of income, increase employment opportunities and provide raw materials for the manufacturing sector and as well help protect the environment from erosion and depletion of the ozone layer.
He said the Governor’s youth empowerment programme including the one youth Two Skills Initiative has engaged the teeming youths in productive ventures and reduced crime and social vices.
Also speaking, a community leader, Chief Nnamdi Ubanozie, commended the Governor for restoring pipe borne water across the state, noting that this will promote healthy living and quality of life of the people.
Chief Ubanozie cautioned residents against indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the environment.
