The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, also known as THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS, is an independent legal entity, a home- driven and delivery investment organization, recognised by the government of Nigeria for the recognition of individuals and corporate organizations towards excellence, in line with the ”Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy of Aku Ruru Ulo, to promote good societal values and right ideals within the Igbo nation.
The Great Igbo Achievers was conceptualized mainly to adequately and constructively examine landmark achievements and signature legacy projects of state governors, members of the National Assembly and notable individuals of Igbo speaking states with proven integrity, hard work and dedication for recognition and honour.
The Great Igbo Achievers is organized annually to celebrate and honour the landmark and uncommon achievements of captains of industry and accomplished entrepreneurs within Igbo nation.
THE GREAT IGBO Achievers has the Vision to among other things evolve and pursue a digital benchmark of universal excellence in all aspects of life, and encourage Ndigbo everywhere and like minded compatriots to be people of collective accomplishments as well as global role models in line with the benchmark.
The organization also has the Mission to continually sensitize and mobilize the peoples, and take other lawful measures to accomplish the various tasks embodied in the Vision, including formulating a credible hierarchical system of recognitions, awards and other honours to be annually bestowed on individuals, institutions, civil societies and corporate organizations that meet the high standards of the Vision.
It equally aims to encourage a patriotic invest at home or Aku-Ruo-Ulo Philosophy, facilitate security, accelerate all-round economic development, modernization, and youth empowerment, in the various Igbo and like minded regions as well as develop a synergy of constructive relationship with relevant organs, as well as various government, public, private, civil society and other agencies, office holders and individuals involved in similar activities.
THE GREAT IGBO Achievers will in addition take pragmatic step towards the growth, development and sustainability of the economy of Igbo speaking states , and act as ad-hoc Think Tank on issues bordering on the Vision and Mission of the organization as well as promote, validate and grant meritorious award to eminent Ndigbo sons and daughters who rendered invaluable services to their states in various capacities with a view to encouraging others to emulate them and invest their wealth in the Igbo nation.
Alaigbo is the indigenous home of Igbo people including Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo , Kogi and Rivers states. Ndigbo are known all over the world for their doggedness, resilience, hard work and industry.
Celebrating eminent Igbo sons and daughters of noble cause who had distinguished themselves and achieved greatness in their chosen fields of endeavor is a continuation of those noble global and Igbo traditions. These would include Individuals of Alaigbo who have greatly impacted on the lives of the people through their programs and projects and those who have already laid strong foundation to stimulate economic viability of the Igbo nation as well as
Individuals and professionals who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and have sacrificed for the general development of Alaigbo in particular and humanity in general.
Again, as the issue of security is very vital to economic development and its sustainability, the Great Igbo Achievers will not relent in its effort at ensuring that policies and strategies that would enhance security are put in place so that lives and property of the people are guaranteed for sustainable economic development.
THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS will in addition embark on the construction of a Legacy Building in Enugu having been the capital of Eastern region through public and private partnership, to house IGBO Hall of Fame, where those who merit and deserve it shall be immortalised in letters of gold for future generations to behold.
Membership of the organization is open to approved purpose-driven Igbo men and women in all fields of human endeavour with proven interest in the Vision and Mission of the Great Igbo Achievers.
