The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the September twenty-eight Anambra State Local Government election in Awka North Local Government Area, Comrade ThankGod Anago said that he will give priority attention to the welfare of women and girl child in the council area.
Comrade Anago who gave the assurance when Soludo Women’s Movement paid him a courtesy call thanked them for their confidence in his leadership style and for endorsing his candidature in the September twenty-eight Anambra Local Government polls.
He also appreciated the group for supporting Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in Anambra State, urging them to sustain the tempo.
According to Comrade Anago, his government will continue to give top priority to the needs of the womenfolk to enable them to achieve their full potential in gender- friendly administration.
He described women and girl children as critical components of the society that must not be toiled under any guise, adding that he will follow Governor Soludo’s leadership style by empowering women in the council area.
Comrade Anago further extolled Governor Soludo for his sterling performance in the state, which he stated will give the party a landslide victory in the forthcoming local government election.
