The member representing Anambra East Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Obi Nweke says that he will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to his constituents.

 

Speaking after inspecting a water borehole he constructed for the people of Umuoba Anam, Hon. Nweke maintained that his dividends of democracy will get to all the communities in Anambra East.

 

Hon. Nweke, a lawyer, thanked the people of Umuoba Anam for the unalloyed support they are giving him, promising not to disappoint them or any other community in the council area.

 

According to the lawmaker, he will touch every political ward in Anambra East based on their needs and will prioritize the welfare of women and children, the youth, help to ensure that there is easy access to health care services, and ensure social security among others.

 

The Lawmaker explained that the betterment of his constituents is his utmost priority, adding that he has an agenda to bring in participatory democracy to the people of the area.

 

He further called on his constituents who are mostly riverine people to heed the call by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, for them to relocate to a safer ground to avoid flood disaster as anticipated by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency.

 

Hon. Nweke commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his pragmatic leadership style, especially in the areas of infrastructural development, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, employment of teachers and healthcare workers as well as his desire to build a liveable, secure and prosperous homeland.
