The remains of the late Mrs. Bridget Edu have been laid to rest at her father’s compound Ibikporo village Onitsha according to their customs and traditions.
The late Mrs. Bridget Edu who died at the age of ninety-three was a member of otu Odu culture of Onitsha, and devout Christian.
In a burial service at Saint peter’s BCM Anglican church Onitsha the vicar in charge of the parish Reverend Chidi Okonkwo described death as inevitable for all mortals.
In his sermon titled “One thing is needful” Reverend Okonkwo admonished the people to always reverend God in all they do and be in good terms with others.
Speaking after the interment the son of the deceased Mr. Felix Edu described his late mother as peaceful and loving.
Also Mrs. Stella Anah former staff of the Anambra Broadcasting Service described her mother as generous, caring and loving who derives joy in impacting in people’s life.
She lamented that even though she died at the age of ninety-three she will continue to miss her motherly advice.
Others who spoke on late Mrs. Bridget Edu includes his brother Mr. Chike Ndaguba, Dr. Olatinde Odesola and Mrs. Carol Ndaguba gave eloquent testimonies on her Peaceful and caring life while alive and prayed God to grant her eternal rest.
