Wife of the governor of Anambra State Nonye Soludo, has thrown support behind athletes who are currently representing Anambra State at the ongoing eighth National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
Mrs. Soludo in a statement in Awka, said that they have already made an impressive start, with twelve medals in the bag, and urged them to go all the way out to clinch more laurels.
The governor’s wife who noted that having won four gold, four silver and four bronze medals in the competition, the Anambra team is pitched to come out as one of the most successful teams in the journey, and asked the athletes to embrace focus, courage and dedication.
She also urged them to show resilience in every task and to uphold the Anambra spirit of resilience and can-do mindset.
Mrs. Soludo, while asking the Anambra representatives to make the most of their chances, expressed her faith in the talents that are representing the state, and equally asked them to fly Anambra’s legendary colours with pride and passion.
She also spoke on welcoming the team when the tournament is over and appealed to Ndi Anambra to show support and love to the young athletes who are aiming to make the state and country proud.
